Admission System for International Students

 Students are evaluated and selected based on their application materials, their scores on the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), a university-administered written exam, and their interview performance. 

Note: there is no need to take the National Center Test for University Admission or an academic achievement test.

Admission Requirements

For All Faculties (Undergraduate)
 Individuals who are not Japanese citizens, and who meet the following criteria may apply for enrollment:

① Individuals who meet one of the following criteria (a) to (c), and who will be 18 years or older by the end of March of the year they intend to enroll.

  (a) Individuals who have completed 12 years of education in a foreign country (or expect to complete the same length of school education by March 31 of the year of intended enrollment), or individuals with the equivalent level of qualification.

  (b) Individuals who have been designated as one of the following by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology:

  1. Holders of an international baccalaureate degree conferred by the International Baccalaureate Organization, a nonprofit foundation that was established based on the Swiss Civil Code.
  2.  Holders of a German Abitur degree, which is recognized as qualification for university admission in all states of Germany.
  3.  Holders of a baccalaureate degree, which is recognized as qualification for university admission in France.
  4. Applicants who have completed 12 years of school education at an educational facility established in Japan for the purpose of educating international students, educational activities of which having been certified by an international evaluation organization (WASC, ACSI, CIS) designated by the Ministry  of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (or who expect to complete the same length of school education by March 31 of the year of intended enrollment)

  (c) Applicants whose academic qualifications are judged by the University as equivalent to or greater than those of high school graduates after the examination of submitted documents.

② Individuals who have taken the EJU administered by the Japan Student Services Organization up to two years prior to their intended enrollment date.

③ Individuals who hold or have the ability to hold resident status that does not interfere with university enrollment under the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act

Students from within the prefecture are defined as individuals who either have possession of an address in within the prefecture, or have a spouse or direct relative in possession of said address, as of April 1st of the school year they began attendance.
Students from outside of Nagasaki prefecture 
 - 353,000 yen
All individuals other than those mentioned above.
